Description: An anthropologist, Ellie, is suspected of selling ancient Anasazi pottery on the black market. Lieutenant Leaphorn and Officer Chee are, therefore, sent to investigate. The youthful staff, too, has a secret and feelings which play out, especially the trainee's affection for her mentor.

Description: Robert Kincaid happens upon the Johnson farm and asks Francesca Johnson for directions to Rosamunde Bridge, while her husband and children are away. The diary is later found by her children after she is dead. The children must decide whether to honor their mother's final wishes to have her own ashes close to Kincaid’s or bury her alongside their father as the family had originally planned.
