Broken Silence
Description: A Carthusian monk, Fried Adelphi, dedicated to silence and meditation for the last 25 years, tells his story (to priest, Michael Moriarty, in a minor role). His order sends him to Indonesia to request the extension of their cloister's lease. En route to Jakarta, he experiences claustrophobia and de-planes in New Delhi, India. Without contacts or any worldly knowledge, he fortunately is reunited with his fellow passenger, Ashaela, the wallet thief. Unaware of her indiscretion, Fried allows Ashaela to help him find his way to Jakarta.

Just walking in nature...

A guided meditative hike with several awareness exercises in and with nature. Although in a group setting, this day is to allow you to be with yourself and to come in touch with your Inner Silence, while being supported by the harmonizing effect of nature.
We go to one of the State Parks around Chicago. The "Silent Sitting" at 6:00a.m. and the "Guided Inner Letting Go" at 6:30p.m. are part of this day. Afterwards vegetarian organic dinner at the Lake Side Cafe.

Silent Sitting and Dance Meditation
The full moon meditation night is a 3-cycle meditation. 3 cycles of 45 minutes silent sitting meditation alternate with three cycles of dance meditation.
The meditation will initially be guided. On full moon more energy is available, which, when silently contained and expressed celebrative in dancing - can reveal to us our natural state of inner peace and joy.
(we will bring anybody who does not want to walk in the streets late at night by themselves to the car or train, let us know ahead of time)

Beijing Bicycle
Description: Beijing: young men in packs, machismo, class divisions, violence, and indifference. Guei arrives from the country: toothbrushes, hotel foyers, and Qin, a rich neighbor in high heels, dazzle him. He gets a job as a messenger. The company issues him a bike, which he must pay for out of his wages. When it is stolen, Guei hunts for it. Shadow Magic
