Meditation Chicago: A journey toward inner peace and joy

Surfing on the waves of life

Why meditate?

The meditative process helps us to let go of that which is against us in ourselves, that which hinders us from being clear, free and fulfilled. When we go into the meditative process, we learn to allow the aliveness and dynamism, which is already present in life, and which contains a quality of joy and playfulness. We keep the remembrance alive that life is a celebration and that we are not doing things just for the sake of doing them, just carrying out a routine.
Whatever we do, we do for the sake of being together, celebrating life, and being in a loving way to discover and understand one another. Joining our meditation classes and workshops may help you discover a deep inner peace, friendship, respect and gratitude towards those around you as well as life itself.

What is meditation?

Meditation in practice simply means deepening the awareness, the attentiveness, the presence, and thereby learning to celebrate the ongoing, changing, moving, mysterious process of this reality.
Normally what is called the objective way of seeing is really not so objective. Unless we become aware of our mind and its workings within us, we cannot be truly objective in a deeper sense. Learning the technique of mirroring reality in a non-judgmental way is the bridge towards becoming aware of the mystery that is inside us and all around.
The Inner Metamorphosis University Chicago is a Meditation Center that offers an inspiring, encouraging and supportive framework for this inner inquiry.
